Embracing the highs and lows of the creative process has been an instrumental part of my path to becoming a producer

The camaraderie that is fostered when acknowledging that each person who touches a project is integral in helping to create a grander whole. The gratification that comes from finding creative solutions in the face of insurmountable roadblocks. And the rush that accompanies finally seeing your hard work out in the world living and breathing on its own.

Growing up as the “annoying” little sister of a high-achieving older brother, the most rebellious thing I could think of was to tell my own story with my whole heart. My childhood antics often involved stealing my parents’ camcorder, directing my friends in home movies, and staying up way past my bedtime mastering iMovie. Whether it be film, photography, or playing with paints I was fascinated by all the small parts that were essential to creating a larger more beautiful whole. By seventeen, I was directing music videos and commercials for local musicians and businesses in my hometown of Kansas City, and it was in sharing my talents, that I discovered the high of helping others find their voice while simultaneously creating something extraordinary.

With creative roots and a producer’s brain, I’m excited by what’s to come and promise never to forget that girl who became fascinated by telling stories with her whole heart.
